Global Porphyria Day

Every year on May 18th, landmarks across Canada and throughout the world light up #PurpleForPorphyria in a powerful show of support for those living with this rare group of diseases.

We extend our deepest THANK YOU to all the landmarks that participated in 2025—and to the many individuals and families who lit up their homes and shared their photos. Your efforts help bring porphyria out of the shadows and into the spotlight.

A special thank you to our Vice-President, Kelly Burns, for leading the Light Up for Porphyria campaign with such passion and dedication. Your hard work continues to unite and inspire the porphyria community across Canada and beyond.

Together, we are making the invisible visible.
